NGOE 2.6 is ready for public Beta! It includes a bunch of new features including Podcasting support via FeedStation and Clipping Synchronization with NewsGator Online.
One of the major changes from NGOE 2.5 to NGOE 2.6 is that activation is now done using your NewsGator Online account, along with a license key. Any user who currently has access to NGOE 2.5 has already had a license key generated for them. The Welcome Wizard for NGOE 2.6 will help you retrieve this license key from NewsGator Online before activating the Beta.
Keep in mind that this is a pre-release, which means it's not done yet! So please don't download it unless you're comfortable using incomplete software that still contains bugs.
I would also recommend backing up the data files used by previous versions of NGOE. You can find them in this directory: %HOMEPATH%\Application Data\RAI\NewsGator.
If you find issues with the Beta, please check the forum first to see if the issue has already been reported. You may find a work around also. If you are the first to report an issue, our support team may ask you to use the “Submit Support Request” feature in NGOE to gather more information. Please do not use this feature to report an issue without checking the forums first!
