Within a very short period of time you will see significant changes to the NewsGator corporate website including a new look and feel, a product catalog to present a unified view of our family of products, the introduction of a shopping cart for the purchase of products, and revised corporate pages. These changes are driven by requests from users, a desire to bring all of our products into NewsGator.com (including FeedDemon, NetNewsWire, TopStyle and MarsEdit), a reduction in the number and complexity of the products we offer and a shift in the way we do business away from selling subscriptions toward selling products.
We are also revamping the look, feel and navigation of our online application. The changes to the corporate site will make it easier for prospective customers to get information about and purchase products. The changes to the online application will enhance the user experience making it easier to navigate the application and search for, subscribe to and read feeds.
When NewsGator acquired FeedDemon and NetNewsWire, existing paid users were promised two years of free NewsGator Online Premium to coincide with the release of the next version of their respective applications. Both FeedDemon and NetNewsWire are nearing completion of their next versions and we will be delivering on our commitment. Look for information and instructions on how you can take advantage of this offer in the near future. Anyone who has purchased either NetNewsWire or FeedDemon prior to the release of their next versions will get two years free NewsGator Online Premium.
For NetNewsWire and FeedDemon users this change should be relatively transparent. Your products will continue to be maintained, developed and supported. The only difference is that instead of going to Bradsoft.com or Ranchero.com, new and existing users will come to one place, NewsGator.com, for all their products and services.
