I noticed that when I select "File|Work Offline" it also takes other applications offline. For example, IE can't browse the web. Other applications too.
I just thought this was a little drastic, expecting it only to take Feed Demon offline.
Just a thought.

Can't be helped - it's an MS/IE thing - Nick has no control over it. Any application that uses the embedded IE control like FD shares whatever settings are set in IE and vice versa. It's the way the control was designed by Microsoft.

I understand. I guess it just didn't let me know that it may affect other applications.
I only realized it may have been what you said when I tried to access a web site through IE. IE told me I was offline and whether I wanted to go back online. Before that I was using another application which needs web access, but I didn't know it was failing because of me setting FeedDemon to work offline... until later. This other application simply returned an error and did not do it's job as expected.
Maybe FD could inform the person setting the application to offline that it may affect other internet enabled applications.
