From 4/2:
"I have about 20 folders with about 300 feeds in them. When I read, delete or mark an item read, FD downloads these items all over again the next time it updates. Do I have something set wrong?
Thanks,
Lee”

Nobody has responded to this. Am I the only one this is happening to? I have uninstalled the new version and went back to the old one (which doesn't do this) out of frustration. When I tried the beta version of this it did the same thing as I recall. Again, does anyone know if I have something set up wrong?

Thanks,
Lee

I sent this same reply to your email support request, as well.

First question, are you using synchronization?

You mention that you're deleting posts. If you're not using sync, this can cause the symptoms you describe. The reason is that, each time FeedDemon downloads the feed, it compares it against the existing content in its cache. If it doesn't find a match, the post is determined to be new and is displayed as such.

Posts _shouldn't_ be coming back as unread if you just mark them read and keep them in the cache. If you are using sync, then this problem shouldn't be happening regardless of whether you delete it or not.

If you can narrow the problem down to just a handful of feeds, let me know what feeds they are (and, again, whether or not you're using sync) and I'll see if I can reproduce the problem.
