Could someone clarify at what point when reading a post in NG Go! that it is marked read in NG Online? I really like to keep my read and unread items synced between NG Inbox and NG Go! but simply reading messages in NG Go! doesn't appear to mark them read.
Another question is the Sync command. Since I read feeds from multiple sources NG Go! seems to not keep up. Sync appears to keep the unread messages in NG Go! and add the newly posted messages. I've been using Reset Sync to flush all the posts from NG Go! and only get the unread ones from NG Online! Is that expected behavior?

| This has also been a curiousity for me. I have seen that when I do a Sync in Go!, any posts marked as read are then marked as read in NGOL. However, it is the when the posts are read elsewhere that it doesn't seem to do what I think it should. As with the original poster, I read posts in multiple places -- NGOL, FeedDemon, and two different Windows Mobile devices. Consider the following scenario: - Perform a sync in Go!.
- Go to NGOL and read several posts.
- Perform a sync in Go!
I would expect the posts read in step 2 to be marked read in Go! after the last sync, but they remain unread.

| All post state changes made in any of NewsGator's products should be reflected after a Sync is performed. In the next version, you will be able to set the synchronization process to occured at confurable intervals btw. It looks like this may not be the case and there may be an issue in the sync process... I will look into this and report back when I find out what is going on.

| Oh, what version of the Go! are you using? Just do the following from the feed list view to get the version number: Menu | Settings Menu | Options

| I have 1.1.2.16525 on my smartphone. I don't have my PPC handy to check the version but I have the same problem there as well.

| This is always how I understood Go!’s synch system works. The synch option only seems to synch changes made within Go!. To get the synchronisation option you are looking for I believe you have to use reset synch, which is what I use most of the time anyway, to ensure that Go! always reflects what is on NGO. Especially when I forget to synch whatever I read on the plane using Go! before I open up FD on my laptop! Is this not correct Kevin, as I was contemplating logging a feature request that would allow the user to set reset synch as the default action? HolisticDeveloper (4/16/2007)

I'm on 1.1.2.16533.
One feature request. I don't know if this is possible, but I would like to see NG Go! work more like an IMAP or Microsoft Exchange Mailbox. If you are online the article is marked as read instantly. I think that might save some network traffic for those of us that use NG Inbox. Currently I'm having to sync my PPC to NG when I leave in the morning. I might Reset Sync several times during the day. Then after I get home I have to Reset Sync one more time before opening up Outlook so I can get a proper count of unread articles on my desktop.
So, to summarize what I would like to see.
Sync in Go! becomes what Reset Sync does today. It purges read articles and gets the new ones so you are in sync with NG Online.
Opening an article in Go! immediately marks it as read if online or at the time of next sync
Then when using NG Inbox I would like for the plugin to fetch the XML feed from the site I've subscribed to and based on what has happened with Go! and NG Online mark those articles as read or unread as they arrive in their designated folders.
