| On avantgo I can sync my downloads over wifi from my handheld without needing to be connected to a PC. It would be great to be able to do this with newsgator that way if I am by a hotspot I can sync. I am using a dell axim x51v Red

You do not have to be connected to the computer to sync. In fact, you never have to connect your mobile device to a computer to run NewsGator Go!, unless you have to use the desktop sync option to install the program.
