I have tried many times, but every time it tells me that "NewsGator Go! cannot be deleted". This is when selecting the NewsGator Go Icon on my Nokia E50 and then using the "delete" functionality from the menu. I use this way because there is no option to uninstall within the NewsGator Go! application menu.
I have also tried other options, to delete all feeds first, to update before deleting the application etc. Nothing works.
This is annoying as I don't want to reset the entire mobile phone just to get rid of one application.
Please help!
Thx

Please be sure that the application is not running before you begin the uninstall. This may cause the type of problem that you are seeing.

Sure, the application is not running at all. I have to close the application because otherwise I would not get the option to delete an application. So in no case it has been running so far.
Any other ideas?

This seems to be a known issue with the folks at Symbian which is the Operating System on this particular phone. Please see this forum thread. There is a workaround in the last post which suggests trying FExplorer to delete both the icon and the executable.

FExplorer did not work as the E50 has Symbian OS 3rd edition and there is nor current version from FExplorer which works for that.
BUT: I found myself a solution (which is embarrassing enough for me, a very simple one). Instead going via the "delete" function in the NewsGator Go! menue, you have to go via the phone menue to "System > Program Manager" and then chose NewsGator Go! to uninstall.
That works!
Thanks for your support anyway

Well that's good advice for other E50 users who may have similar problems in the future. I am gathering cases like this for possible Knowledge Base articles for users to refer to. Thank you for sharing that information.
