| Am I crazy, or does NewsGator Go! for Java not have an option to show images?

Well I cannot answer the first question with any certainty, but you are correct on the second part. 
NewsGator Go! does strip images from the feeds to save bandwidth.

| That's too bad. My phone runs on a 3G network, so images load fairly quickly. It would be nice to give users a choice of whether to download the images or not.

This request is something that we are looking to add in the next build. The reader itself already supports images, but we need to add a server-side process to allow it to work properly.
