| After adjusting the column spacing (want to see more of news items description), it gets reset back to default widths when change feeds. Would like the width to be remembered, especially of the window size does not change.

Hmmm I thought this was fixed in a previous beta, but I've just been able to repro it in the current one. Bug raised (93799)

Any guess when this bug (c.f. another report) will be fixed?
The two problems I see in widescreen view are 1) the Creator column width usually (but not always) being preserved and 2) the entire news item list pane width never being preserved. I had a hunch the first problem might be related to what's selected when NNW is quit though I haven't been able to find a consistently repeatable example.

It looks like the problem is limited to widescreen with tabs on right (we fixed the other cases  )I don't have an ETA, but the dev has promised to address it before 3.1 goes final. After paging in the combined view has been completed, we have no more major features planned for 3.1, so we'll be concentrating on fixing as many bugs as possible before release.

That's my typical configuration.
Last time I quit NNW with a certain folder selected and when I relaunched the previous Creator column width was preserved. Still want to try selecting the same folder multiple times when quitting to see if the column preservation is consistent after relaunching. I keep forgetting to do that because slow startup inhibits my desire to relaunch often enough to remember. Hmm, it would be faster trying recreate the symptoms using a minimal NNW setup on my wife's eMac …

Followup summary:
When a folder is selected before quitting then the Creator column width is consistency retained after relaunching and in all cases the entire middle news item list pane width is always expanded to the left. Resizing the pane is less hassle than resizing the Creator column.
