A couple of other people have reported getting the following error on starting up Newsgator Go! for some time now, but there doesn't appear to have been a solution offered so far.
"Please check your credentials and ensure you have a network connection"
I get this message on one of my devices, although it works fine on another device. Both devices are Windows Mobile 6 Professional.
I tried the current beta, and get exactly the same issue.
The funny thing is, if I type in the WRONG password - I get a different error: "Please check your Newsgator credentials" so it seems to actually accept the username and password, but obviously that still doesn't help.
Did anyone manage to find any solutions?

I have a slightly different problem. I get this error message the first time I try to run Go! after I install it. And only the first time. If I try to run it the second time, I get no problem.
I have uninstalled Go! and reinstalled it again and I get the exact same behavior the second time around.

I just removed and re-installed Go and am still getting this problem. It's starting to drive me nuts because I have been relying on Go! for the past 12 months for my RSS feeds and 6 months for my podcasts.
When I removed it, I ensured there were no files sitting around. I even reinstalled it on the main memory instead of the SD card.
Still nothing. So now I'm left wondering if it's a problem with the Compact Framework or something. so I removed that as well.
Soft-reset. (is that the whole take out the battery and hope for the best )
Reinstall from scratch.
Result? Check your credentials.
I just did - three times - I even changed my password on NG just to be sure.
Real result ? VERY FRUSTRATED.

Real problem behind this on my machine was ActiveSync. It wasn't recognizing that I was connected properly and as a result, Newsgator Go was acting in "guest" mode.
Once I restarted my machine (and, oh yeah, installed the Compact 3.5 framework but I don't know if that did anything), everything worked properly.
This is what I get for ranting BEFORE I rebooted my machine. Sigh...the more things change, the more they stay the same.
I'm back and running properly after that - does that work for anyone else?

| Hm, I'm not trying to do it over ActiveSync though - for me I get the same thing whether it's over GPRS/3G or wireless... I don't really use ActiveSync unless I have to!

yes, it's the same problem, but unlike your situation it won't EVER accept the credentials. It's not just a case of it only doing it the first time or anything like that.
Also, I don't have (and never have had) .Net Compact Framework 3.0 installed. I tried 3.5 after I got the problem, but that made no difference.
I've also tried the beta of Newsgator Go! and again, that was exactly the same.
