I'd like to report some bugs that I found. All these are found in v1.5.0.18262 on HTC Kaiser with PPC version. NewsGator Go! is installed on device but feeds and media are stored on storage card.
1) Pressing left direction key on HTC Kaiser causes NewsGator Go! to crash
- Create a folder named "Finance"
- Add the feed: http://www.aiderss.com/rss/great/getrichslowly.org/blog
- Expand the "Finance" folder
- Press middle key to view Get Rich Slowly feed
- Highlight one of the posts and press middle key to view content
- Press left direction key and you'll see that NewsGator Go! disappears. Task Manager shows that it's no longer running.
2) Read posts status is lost after going to another feed - Press the Menu key to bring up the NewsGator Go! menu
- Press "Settings"
- Click "Feeds"
- Press the Menu key again to get the menu
- Press "Options"
- Uncheck "Mark read after navigating through"
- Add two feeds (any feeds)
- Click the first feed to view all its posts
- Click one of the posts
- Click OK and verify that the post is now indicated as read
- Press down until the program brings you to the next feed
- Press OK to return to the list of feeds
- You'll see that the read posts from previous feed is no longer marked as read
3) I also experience that sometimes while viewing a post pressing down direction key causes crash but I don't have a consistent repro. Are there ways to enable debug logging?

Well, consider yourself lucky that you could at least get it to work on your Kaiser. I wasn't able to get it working on my HTC TyTN II (P4450,Kaiser,AT&T Tilt). I tried installing to both Main or Storage memory and hit the same issue; could start up and sync but unable to get into the posts and articles themselves. Judging from the other posts here, the NewsGator Go! for Windows Mobile still needs a lot of work.

Items 1 & 3 are resolved in the beta release due to come out later this evening or tomorrow.
Regarding item 2; Can you please clarify? You say you uncheck the option to mark read when navigating through then seem to be surprised when it does just that. I could be missing something here though.

Keith - read the last item in #2 again:
"You'll see that the read posts from previous feed is no longer marked as read"
The issue is that he is expecting the posts that are marked as read when he reads them to stay marked as read - his surprise is that they're not
My understanding of that option is the same as his - I am assuming it's the analog to FeedDemon's "Mark all as read when Feed changes setting" - when it's not checked, the states of already-marked-as-read posts don't change - but that is apparently what is happening (I haven't tested it myself yet - probably tomorrow).

Yes, the developer and I sat down on Thursday to reply to all of these at once. We misread this one on first pass, but quickly caught it. Unfortunately the first response went straight to the feed. My edit is the response from the second read through.

Thanks Keith and the developer that fixed the bugs!
I installed the new v2.0 beta and #1 is fixed. I'll have to use it more to confirm #3 crash is gone.
Let me try to explain #2 again: While viewing a feed (e.g. Engadget), I can mark certain posts as read in the screen in the screenshot I attached. If I keep pressing down such that I go past the last post of a feed, the application changes to the next feed.
The problem is that when the application changes to the next feed, anything that I marked as read while in the screen in the screenshot is no longer marked as read.

Now that the beta is available, I will do some testing regarding issue #2. It may be a bug, but I have to reproduce it here first. Thanks for the heads up.
