I usually tend to read long scrolls of posts at a time, so by the time I finish going through the content, my mouse is near the bottom of the screen. It's much easier to hit the "Mark Page Read" button than the "Next Page" button, even though "Next Page" is what I really want. Can you put a copy of that button at the bottom or maybe make the "Mark Page Read" button work like "Next Page" if you hold a modifier key?
Also, when I tried to look up keyboard shortcuts, I got really confused... the online help pane worked, but because I've got FeedDemon set to open links in my external browser, clicking on keyboard shortcuts seemed to do nothing instead of changing the page. Maybe the online help should be special cased to always open in FD.

| I really hesitate to add another button to the status bar, but you're not the only one asking for this. A modifier key would work, but then very few people would know about it. I'll think about how to handle this, since it's becoming a fairly frequent request. And I see what the problem is with the keyboard shortcuts help page. FeedDemon already shows help pages in its own browser regardless of the "show in external browser" setting, and it does this by checking whether the URL contains http://www.bradsoft.com/feeddemon/help/2.6/ . However, the keyboard shortcuts page is at http://www.bradsoft.com/feeddemon/quickref/2.6/ , so it's being displayed in the external browser. In other words, this is an example of why I should be more consistent with where I place files on my server You mentioned, though, that clicking the keyboard shortcuts hyperlink did nothing. It *should* have opened in your external browser - any chance that it actually did that, but you weren't aware of it? Best,
Nick Bradbury

Oh, it just SEEMED to do nothing, as I was using FeedDemon full screen and my browser was minimized at the time. I did eventually find about six tabs of FD quick ref sitting over in Firefox

Count me as one that prefers the old "mark as read but do not advance" button at the bottom of the window. It might be better if it didn't advance past the selected feed/group so there is an 'end'.

Totally agree with this. I really miss that button in the latest 2 betas, though I must say that I might not miss it too much if indeed it wouldn't advance past the selected feed/group.
