Hi,
When I add a new subscription without NewsPage being enabled the resulting folder of the feed items contains a superfluous To column. This means that when I enable the preview pane Outlook chooses to display this blank field and consequently the Subject/Headline doesn't get a look-in

I can get around this by removing the column and then Outlook chooses to display the From field in preview pane mode as I would expect.

Outlook default folder set up or NG thing?

That seems to be an Outlook default folder view thing. My default view for Inbox doesn't include the "To" field and I didn't need to do anything to get rid of it.

I think you're right Nick. I've just started fiddling with the Define Views option and created a nifty 3-line view in preview pane mode which is made available for selection in the Advanced Toolbar View drop down option, which I cunningly named NewsGator.

However, after changing all the folders within the NewsGator Personal Folders to my NewsGator view, in case it was an inheritance thing, new subscriptions are now taking the Messages preview pane view and the To field thing is no longer an issue for new subs in that view.
No logic to Outlook sometimes. Still, I've reduced my number of clicks by a few, so I'm happy.
Thanks for the super quick response.
