Hello,
I have to say sorry, when I might have missed out these information, I hope it is ok to ask:
1. Where do I find a exact description of how the Cleanup-Wizard works or can you explain it to me? (In short: Is it about cleaning read items or about sorting out unread items like the "panic button"?)
2. Question came to me at the moment: If I unsubscribe from a news feed / blog, will clipped items from this feed be preserved in FeedDemon?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Kind regards.

1. Cleanup Wizard - I've whipped up a brief overview of the Cleanup Wizard and how to use it:
http://critter42.blogspot.com/2008/05/using-cleanup-wizard_06.html
Does that answer the questions you had about the feature?
(PS, If y'all at NewsGator wants to integrate this info into the help page for FD, just drop me an email and I can send you my original .doc file)
2. Clippings - yep, clippings are permanent (thank goodness - I've got clippings from feeds I haven't been subscribed to for a couple of years and would be lost if I tried to find that info now )

Yes, so as I expected there is no need to clean a "temp" or "cache" folder of FeedDemon for performance reasons / to speed FeedDemon up?
Instead it removes "old, outdated" items. But my question is: What does it then do if I activate the following setting? ^_^
Don't remove unread items and Don't remove flagged item: The wizard will not delete posts with the selected states
The clipping question resolved itself, as I was "brave" enough to just check it out.
PS: My read is you mean the Newsgator staff?

Let's say there is a post 14 days old, but you haven't read it yet. If you run the Cleanup Wizard and set to to remove posts older than 10 days, but have the "Don't remove unread items" option unchecked, that post will be deleted. If you check that box, it will not be deleted. the "Don't remove flagged" option works the same way for flagged posts.
