Hi,
I have started using Putty with SSH tunnel to route most of my web-traffic as I would like to avoid the "traffic-cops" on my network.
Currently FeedDemon uses the transparent proxy on my network to access Newsgator and that works fine. However, trying to change the connection settings always results in an error.
Once I key in 127.0.0.1:7777 and say Test, Step 1 fails with the message HTTP Status Code 0. Can someone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong?
I use the best feed-reader for Windows .. and love it!

Well I initially worked around this by running a small HTTP proxy which in turn connected to the SSH client.
While installing another application, I noticed that it filled in the proxy connection in the form "socks=127.0.0.1".
Intrigued, I decided to try the same thing with FeedDemon and whaddya know - it worked!
Hopefully, this helps someone else
