If I select some text (usually, using the keyboard) and then press Control+C to copy selected text to the clipboard, sometimes it doesn't work.

Control+V (paste) in this scenario also does not seem to do anything.

Any ideas?

ps: I am so far unable to reproduce on demand

As an update, this has happened three times to me already today, so I'll keep an eye on things.

using 3.5.0.9 (final)

I have mistakenly been pressing Alt during my rapid clipboarding, which results in the behaviour described above.

If you press ALT a single time on it's own, the menu becomes highlighted ready for you to press a shortcut key to activate a menu item. This is standard Windows behaviour.

However, if you leave the menu highlighted and press Control+C (or any TopStyle shortcut key combo that should work in the current editing context) the desired function does not happen.

Contrast with Windows Notepad: where if the menu is selected using a single press of ALT, pressing clipboard functions deactivates the menu selection and operates as intended. Pressing other modifier-key related shortcuts deactivates the menu selection, also, but they usually do not operate as intended.

Hope that helps.

What to look for:

Topstyle

Notepad

Further investigation has shown that this happens in circumstances other than the above situation.

I have just had it again.

It always happens after selecting text using control+shift+cursors.

Hi, well according to me it could be your keyboard problem. Have you tried to do the same with any other keyboard...?
