Hi all,
I've run the installer several times, including:
- Closing all apps first
- Downloading a fresh .NET 2 framework and reinstalling
- Assorted reboots
The toolbar installer reports no problems, but nothing shows in FF2 or IE6--I looked for both new toolbars under the View menu and new icons in the customize toolbar dialog.
Don't suppose there's a FF extension that I can use instead?
Thanks,
Ann

The FireFox toolbar is part FireFox extension, part .Net application (the toolbar starts the .Net application).
Does the NewsGator Toolbar show up in FireFox's add-on list?

Nope, zero presence in Firefox. And yesterday I was loading it up with several other extensions, none of which had issues.
Since it's also a no show in IE6, I'm guessing this is failing at a lower level.
I am running Trend Micro antivirus, but in many years including LAN admin I've never seen it interfere with an install. The most it does is raise an alert, and I didn't run this unattended.
Thanks,
Ann

In "c:\Program Files\NewsGator\NGSubscriber" look for ngtoolbar.xpi and try installing that straight in FireFox.

Yes, this is resolved as you said. But I feel you have to resolve this while installing immediately after downloading.
Thanks anyway mate.
Cheers
