I couldn't live without NetNewsWire. Well, I could, but it'd be a less fulfilling existence.
I just got a Mac at work to go with my Mac at home, so for the first time I'm syncing my subscriptions across two computers on a regular basis. But it seems like every time I switch computers, the sync screws up my subscriptions list in some way. The two most common problems:
- All the feeds in a particular folder are removed from that folder and thrown down at the bottom of my feed list. I have to gather them up and drag them back into their original home.
- All (or nearly all) the feeds in a particular folder are duplicated, so that I have two copies of every feed and thus two copies of each entry. I have to go in and manually delete all the duplicates. Often, there are one or two feeds that aren't duplicated among the dozens that are.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? I love the syncing, but I hate having to manually fix my subscription list twice a day, once on each computer. Thanks!

I hate to reply to my own post, but is there any solution for my syncing problems? I just hit "Refresh All" three times over a half hour as a test, and each time, a different assortment of feeds were randomly thrown out of a folder structure and down to the bottom of the top level. One of those times, roughly half of them were duplicated instead of simply moved, and another one of those times an entire folder was removed from my system (although its contents were not; just strewn about the rest of my install).
I really would love to find some way to avoid this daily remix of all my feeds. Any thoughts? Many thanks again.

The dev is looking into it, but it's a problem with the way NNW is syncing, not with NewsGator Online.
I'm going to move this thread to the NNW forum to give it better exposure.

Yes, please fix this as soon as you can. Every time I move feeds into a different folder, I get these sync problems, then when I try to fix them, I get duplicates. It also seems to me that just yesterday I could just unsubscribe from the duplicates and everything would be fine, but today unsubscribing makes me lose both instances of the same feed. Before I realized what was happening, I lost several feeds that I now have to go and recover... and I don't remember what some of them were exactly.
