I'm using NewsGator online together with NetNewsWire and each time feeds appear next to the folders they should be in. Moving them in NetNewsWire does not work, the syncs don't propagate.
Also, overriding all my NewsGator online settings in the sync preferences of NetNewsWire does not solve this either. A bug in NewsGator online? Or in NetNewsWire?

can you provide a screen shot of what you're seeing (jpg preferred on the boards)? It sounds like a formatting/rendering error and would be helpful for the NG guys to see what you're seeing.

Instead of being in the PATS folder (like i NetNewsFire) these feeds are outside of the PATS folder...

What happens if you move them using the NewsGator Online interface (just drag-n-drop)

That does work and marking those moved posts read online will mark them read in netnewswire as well. I have a large collection of feeds so moving all of those online too will be a lot of work...
Edit: it does not work very well. I added a new folder online and it turned up in my reader. But then the older PATS folder contains double entries all of a sudden. How can I reset everything? It seems like the best solution at this moment

The quickest way is probably this:

- Log into NewsGator Online
- Move around the feeds to approximately where you want them (if you are moving a lot, try going to the Settings > Organize Folders page - you can move multiple feeds at once)
- Open NNW
- Go to Window > Errors List and clear it
- Go to Preferences > Syncing > Starting Over
- Choose Replace Subscriptions on this computer and then click the Start Over button
- This will attempt to make NNW look like NGO. If you have any problems, check the errors list, and let us know what you find.

That does not seem to work completely. I still get double entries in the folder.
My error window also says certain things:

A couple of things:

1) http://ostracons.com/ doesn't seem to have any data or RSS feeds...
2) Can you go to Window > Connectino tester to see if there are any errors.

ostracons indeed is gone, I have removed that feed.
Running the connection tester gives:
# External site: Passed
# NewsGator via http with SOAP: Passed
# NewsGator via http: Passed
# NewsGator via https: Passed
# NewsGator via https with SOAP: Passed
# NewsGator via http with SOAP and login: Passed
# NewsGator via https with SOAP and login: Passed

Seems okay to me. Why does syncing fail then...
