It's just the generic Windows XP application crash message, with an offer to send the crash report to Microsoft. Except it can't send it.

I doubt it would be very helpful. Still want it?

I replied to this, but don't see my reply. I probably did something wrong.

The dialog is a routine XP crash notification with the usual request to sumbit the error report to Microsoft.

In addition to some interaction between Communicator 2007 and Newsgator Add-Ins I would wonder about an interaction with our corporate Connected TLM backup (runs nightly and backs up Outlook), Windows Search 4.0 (indexes Outlook, includes a toolbar) or even the HP configuration management software we run. Unfortunately the modern managed corporate windows laptop is a minefield.

I'd guess crash logs of newsgator would be of most use to you. Let me know how to help.

If you'd like to contact me directly please use jfaughnan@spamcop.net. The email I used for forum registration is my usual spam box at yahoo and I check it only once a month.

Unfortunatly crashes like that happen outside of Inbox and therefore don't get logged in the Inbox log. We can give it a shot though. Go to Start > Programs > NewsGator > Inbox > Submit NewsGator Inbox Diagnostics Report. Send the email that gets generated.

I've submitted the report, Attn you with URL of this threat. It's quite a report!

Please email your findings to me at jfaughnan@spamcop.net. We're evaluating Newsgater for use in our corporate environment (can't use IE 7 or Outlook 2007!) and we can't use it until we can get rid of the nightly Outlook 2003 crashes.

Thanks!

PS. Spamcop.net is my personal email, not my corporate email

I haven't had the obvious night time crash since installing the latest pre-release build, but I've also been out of the office a few times so the environment differs. I do suspect a problem with our corporate Connected TLM Backup -- maybe XP blocks access to Outlook while the backup runs and Newsgator doesn't care for that.

PS. The It's quite a threat in my prior post is a typo. I think I meant something like "it's quite a thread".
