| I'm running FD under Windows Vista nowadays, and noted an issue with the UAC. If I install a language by doubleclicking the fdlang2 file in a file explorer, FeedDemon want to copy the language file to the \Program files\FeedDemon\Data\lang\ directory. This is not possible under UAC, so Vista creates a VirtualStore folder instead. This should be prevented by saving user-added language files under \appdata\local\ or \appdata\roaming\ instead.

Even if Vista copies to the VirtualStore folder, when FeedDemon tries to load it next time Vista should load it from the VirtualStore folder.
Please note that I am not actually employed by NewsGator, and my opinions should not be taken as their official stance on any matter. I'm just a happy FD user (since pre-1.0 alpha in 2003) helping out where I can.

| Thanks for pointing this out, Rijk - I had completely forgotten about how Vista creates "VirtualStore" folders for files copied under Program Files. As Spyder points out, this isn't a huge problem since Vista will make sure FD loads the file from the correct location. Still, I should move these files to the AppData folder at some point, so I've added this to our bugtracker (case #146971) to be addressed in a future release.

Thanks. I know that the practical consequences aren't huge, but things should be tidy
When a translator wants to test and edit the file, it would be easier to find it in Appdata than VirtualStore (especially for those not aware of the VirtualStore system), and you wouldn't need to jump through hoops to edit it when it resides under Program files.
