Glad to hear someone will be taking this client on.
I am having some of the problems others have described above, but I'm also experiencing a lot of crashing recently. When I'm viewing an item and click on the right arrow or right on the directional pad the app will just disappear.
I recently upgraded my AT&T Tilt to Windows Mobile 6.1 official ROM and I imagine that this may be related.
If you are in need of testers or direct feedback I would be happy to help. I use this app everyday and if I can help I'd be glad to.
Mike

Hi Mike,
Not sure why you're getting crashing with latest NewsGator Go client as I'm pleased to say that the latest v2 client is very stable on my WM6.1 device (unlike the v1 client that crashed all the time under WM6 and 6.1, although was very stable under WM5 which it was built for at the time)
The only thing I can suggest is maybe ensuring you have the latest v3.5 MS .Net Compact framework installed, although obviously you should have got that with the updated ROM.
v3.5 is fully backwards compatible and replaces any prior versions on your device and has a simple ActiveSync install so should be pretty easy for you to try.
Here's the URL
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e3821449-3c6b-42f1-9fd9-0041345b3385&displaylang=en
Hope that helps,
Alan.

I have downloaded and reinstalled the framework and downloaded and reinstalled Newsgator Go!
After about an hour of use no crashes but the d-pad doesn't go to the next item when I press right or use the right arrow. Is there a document that lists all of the controls and/or keyboard shortcuts somewhere?

Hi Mike,
Glad things seem a bit more stable for you on the crashing front.
I'm personally not currently aware of any manual, built in or downloadable help/documentation for WM Newsgator Go! client, and the two items in the Knowledge base aren't really comprehensive!
Not sure if it was earlier v1 client or an older RSS client I used to use but you're right that seeing as left and right on the direction pad aren't used for anything when reading an individual item it would make a lot of sense for these to be mapped to 'Previous' and 'Next' item actions to avoid having to click on the screen menu options (which is the only way I know how)
Will add this suggestion as new wishlist item in that bugs post I started.
Alan.

Sorry for the delay on this - version 2.1 is available: http://www.newsgator.com/Individuals/NewsGatorGo/Default.aspx
Please upgrade and verify that this is fixed.
Thanks!

Hi Nick,
Glad to hear you've got a new version for us to try, unfortunately at the moment it doesn't seem to be available either on http://m.newsgator.com/d/ or the beta url location http://mbeta.newsgator.com/d/
When I browse to either of these locations with Pocket IE on my WM6 device and then choose 'Pocket PC' out of the two buttons I have successfully downloaded a new CAB from both of these locations, however on installation the CABS from both URLs report they are v2.0.0.25412 when you go into 'Settings' > 'Current Version' (and have the same Blank Content issue when no data connection is active)
Each time I did a complete uninstall of previous NewsGator app via 'Remove Programs' within WM Settings menu, and then double checked that Device > Program Files had no left over 'Newsgator' or similar directories.
Suggest could you upload this new v2.1 program version to http://mbeta.newsgator.com/d/ and I'll then happily test as it sounds like you think this issue should be fixed.
Assume this is the reason the previous people found no change in program behaviour, as they had also got the old, not new software version when they tried to download.
Many thanks in advance,
Alan.
