Guys

Is "Mark All Posts On This Page As Read" or "Mark Post As Read" the same as "deleting" a page of posts / post? - conceptually that is?

Looking at a post in the Online Edition, I don't see a "delete this post" link or button, so how do I do that? Not having one makes me think that the post is kept somewhere, creating cruft that I don't want.

Thanks in advance ;-)

In the NewsPage, selecting the "Delete All Posts" will delete each post within the Outlook Folder as well as mark all posts as read where "Mark All Posts As Read" will keep the feeds in your folder structure but mark the feeds as read.

No Blogware plugin yet... I'll get the ball rolling for you though.

Hi Ronnie

Sorry, when I said:

I meant in the Online Edition...

Are posts ever deleted?
Where is the delete post button in the Online Edition?

Thanks again
Gareth

Nope... Currently we keep all posts.  You can view them by selecting the older posts button.

You will not see the delete posts in online for this reason.  It is in Outlook to assist with your file size management.

Make sense?

Ahhh....

So all posts are kept by NG in the NG Online Edition regardless.

When you delete a post from NG OE, it's more to keep your PST filesize down, and that then marks the post in NG Online Edition as read.

So when you sync in Outlook, you're syncing against unread posts, not the posts left in your account - which makes very big sense from a DB point of view...

Is that all correct?
