| Any update on this? It's been two months and still no fix. I've held off on blogging this, but it's getting really annoying to have to pull the laptop out to catch up on news that I haven't read in a few days when I've got the Mac sitting here. This is a bug that needs to be fixed, but I get the feeling you guys don't consider it a bug. How is not maintaining state of unread items past the number of items in a feed not a bug? I haven't read those items and they're getting marked as read, I'd say it's a bug.

Clint, You are correct that because this function is by design, this is being treated as a feature request rather than a bug. Current posts is designed to include only those items which are still "current" in the source feed.
Your point is still valid and I will follow up with the dev team.
Any additional input from you as well as others on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Ronnie

For me as an old FeedDemon customer NewsGator Online should be as close as possible to an "Online FeedDemon". The standard view should contain like 100-200 posts per feed, read or unread. Let the "Only unread items" checkbox apply to posts, instead of complete feeds.
Throw in some more sorting options, like "by feed", "by post title". I also find it irritating to read posts from all feeds in a folder mixed up. It's rather hard to follow the varying subjects in different feeds, I'd like to read multiple feeds per page, but grouped by feed. Compare FeedDemon's folder newspaper in the "Surfer" style.
Seems like I'm getting carried away, so let's stop here.

| This is a feature I would like to see very much myself. Some of my feeds produce more items a day then they have in their active feed. Even keeping read/unread status available in "Older posts" would be a nice addition. I myself would rather have a distinction between read/unread rather then old/current posts. Maybe a configurable option for users to choose this?
