Lots tend to do it without even a by-your-leave, and the option to turn it off is buried deep in the preferences or even cannot be found. I have no problems with loading FD when I want to use it, and waiting a few seconds longer. If you examine the system tray options for a fleshed out UI like uTorrent, you'll find that it supports adding itself to start up and minimizes without flickering. Also, you can disable activate when system tray icon is clicked, which allows you to click once on the system tray icon to see in the app, and then click it again without cursor movement to minimize the application again. This is ideal behavior for FeedDemon, if at the very least as an option, since if you disable desktop notifications and you see an inbox system tray icon you just want to jump in and out to see which feeds have new items.<br><br>As for having FeedDemon start minimized programmatically, add a commandline switch like -minimized for the shortcut that it creates. I've done this before in programs I've made. FeedDemon doesn't even necessarily need to worry about creating it. Once the shortcut is created, right click the shortcut, click on Properties, then click on the shortcut tab.
