I feel amazingly stupid now. That solved my problem.

I really appreciate your help.

Mike Strock
RE: Turn off sorting by date?

I had to edit your post so it didn't break the forum :P
That's the headings I was talking about in my last post. Up the top right, switch to Feed and it should get rid of the headings (except when you're in a folder newspaper).

RE: Turn off sorting by date?

http://www.myhomeoffice.org/screenshot.bmp

There is a screenshot. Hopefully you'll be able to see it. See where it says 'Last Week' and 'Older', I want to get rid of those headings and just have it show the articles.

Mike.

RE: Turn off sorting by date?

I think the forum corrupted your example, probably best to take a screenshot, draw on it with Paint to explain what you mean and then attach it :)

I have a fair idea what you're complaining about now, but do the screenshot anyway just to make sure.

RE: Turn off sorting by date?

We must be. I'm talking about the individual items on the right hand side.

You have:

<TODAY>
Article 1
Article 2
<etc>
<Yesterday>

I want to get rid of where it says 'TODAY' and 'Yesterday'. I don't care when the article was posted. I just want to see the article. In 2.5, I could do this (or it was there by default). It seems in 2.6 that has changed. I don't like it (I know, nobody asked me). :-)

Thanks!

Mike Strock

RE: Turn off sorting by date?

I just checked, and it's on the default toolbar - we must be talking about different things.
I thought you were asking about the news item list, but you must be talking about the newspaper. If you're using the default Surfer style, you'll see some links at the top. You can switch between Feed, Date and Title to change the grouping. There isn't as much control over the headers in the newspaper as you get in the News Item List, where you have 10 options (including none).

RE: Turn off sorting by date?

I never did find it, even after adding buttons. You might have to click the little arrow on the right to add the button, not all buttons are there by default.

RE: Turn off sorting by date?

So, how do I go about changing the Group by option? I guess I'm just dumb, because I haven't been able to find it through the menu system.

Thanks. I mean, they can be sorted by date, but can I turn off the little separators that say 'yesterday' 'last week', etc, in the article view window?

I'm using the latest version of Feeddemon downloaded today (2.6.021)

Mike.
