its v2.6

i have the sync options set to every 30 mins, and the automatic updating set in the general tab, however right clicking on the folders/sub folders, this option for update frequency is greyed out, no option to take the tick off..

First, what version of FD are you using? ([b]Help[/b]->[b]About FeedDemon[/b])

Is "[b]Automatically Update Feeds[/b]" under [b]Tools[/b]->[b]Options[/b]->[b]General [/b]tab checked?
Are you set to Synchronize? If so, what is your Polling Frequency ([b]Tools[/b]->[b]Synchronization Options[/b]->[b]Polling Frequency[/b])

Right-click on your [b]Subscriptions[/b] folder and left click on [b]Folder Properties[/b]. Is the checkbox for "[b]Check for news items every xx minutes[/b]" checked? If it is, do this - uncheck it and click [b]OK[/b]. You will get a popup asking you to choose between "[b]Apply only to feeds in root folder[/b]" or "[b]Apply to ALL feeds in ALL folders[/b]". Choose the second option. Now go back in, recheck that option, click [b]OK[/b] and again select "[b]Apply to ALL feeds in ALL folders[/b]"

Hi,

Quite often when I subscribe to a new feed, it conencts fine, but the feeds are really out of date, and are only updated when I exit FeedDemon and come back in, also I don't recall seeing any alerts all the time FeedDemon is minimised, and the only way I can get existing feeds to update is to exit the app and come back in?
Any thoughts.

(I know about the resync button but I thought all of this was meant to be automatic)
