I can envision lots of possible uses for such a feature. Specifically, think about how many people might want to know if any of their feeds are linking to a particular domain, story, etc. Instead of having to search through each feed to see if your favorite bloggers are linking to a resource, you could add a "watch" feed and instantly know. I really don't think this is fringe use!

As far as difficulty, I certainly don't know you're code, but it seems that you've written code to exclude this information from searches (as feeds contain a mixture of "plain text" and images / html code). So couldn't you simply search [i]the entire feed[i] instead of just the plain text part?

Please consider it! Thanks.

RE: I beg thee for one feature!

I'm afraid this would be very difficult and time consuming to develop. We simply do not have the flexibility necessary to devote our developmental resources to such an edge case proposed by a single user. We apologize for any inconvenience.

RE: I beg thee for one feature!

Bump...

Any thoughts? Good idea, bad idea?

Is there a better way to submit feature requests?

This would be extremely valuable to me.

I beg thee for one feature!

So the principle can be used widely for a ton of different reasons (which is why it should be added!). But in my specific case, there are posts from a wide array of blogs that all use a common image or a common link to another site, and I would like to build a "watched" feed that filters based on the useage of said image or url.

But I cant.

I need the option of searching the source code of the blog post to match an image name or a url. Please, oh pretty please?!

If there's a better way to make a feature request, I'll gladly do that too.
