The feed itself doesn't include the trackback information. However, if they use the same title we could ignore them that way, but there is no way to get everyone to do this. This would be dependent on the feed authors.

Since the keyword search feature sometimes brings back older items, we could ignore posts that are older than a specified number of days.

Feature request: Eliminating redundant posts that use trackbacks/pingbacks

I subscribe to many blogs based on topic and use the FeedDemon keyword search feed to find more on the topics. I get many redundant posts that are of the type of "So and so just posted this interesting article...." I already read the original poster's blog and it's gotten really annoying having redundant posts in other blogs. This has me considering un-subscribing from these un-original posters, but they still show up in the keyword folder.

Then I thought, "Hey, if they are using trackbacks/pingbacks I could opt to only view the original, root level post."

This would require Newsgator/FeedDemon to subscribe to and monitor all the comments in addition to the blogs. Thoughts folks?
