So NetNewsWire displays all clipped items as read, NewsGator Online displays them as unread and FeedDemon displays as both. Eventually the read/unread states for clipped items will be synchronized across these platforms, but that is not the case today.

NetNewsWire always displays clippings as read. Since clippings do have read/unread state, NetNewsWire will be updated at some point to sync that state.

Keith, i have between 10 to 1000 items for one clipped folder.
in FD, it's mostly 10 to 200 unread items
in NGO, all is seen as unread
in NNW, all as read

I'm having a similar problem as what is being reported here. I'm running the latest versions of both NetNewsWire and FeedDemon.

When I add an item to my default clippings folder, it is correctly synchronized to NewsGator Online and is then correctly synchronized to my NetNewsWire client.

If I then delete that clipping on my NetNewsWire client, it does not get deleted on NewsGator Online and it does not get deleted on my FeedDemon client.

To summarize, the synchronization seems to be one-way only.

From FeedDemon -> NewsGator Online -> NetNewsWire = OK
From NetNewsWire -> NewsGator Online -> FeedDemon = Not OK

How many clipped items do you have in your clippings folders?

Yes, for me, there is a bug synchronization in clippings.

i don't get the same list between multiple clients.
like said previously
* status doesn't seem to synchronize in a coherent way
* news from nnw don't appear in fd
* in nnw, i can't see fd read news.

You do realize that the read states in your clippings folders are not synchronized don't you? I apologize if this was what you were trying to report all along. It is very difficult to completely understand what you are trying to say.

i try the following test with ngo, nnw, fd: create a clipping folder, put an item in it, check other clients
Please note, i update nnw to 3.1.5

* with ngo
in nnw & ngo, see the folder and the item (viewed like unread on ngo, read on nnw)
in fd, see the folder but no news (same with display 'watch all' or 'unread/flagged')
* with nnw
same than ngo
* with fd
in fd & ngo, see the folder and news as unread
in nnw, see the folder and news as read

therer is no way in ngo and nnw to see read items or to count them, it seems, even if you want to keep them.

for me (hope, i'm not alone), there are bugs
1- synchronization to fd
2- miss coherence on news status
3- lost read items of fd

You are the only person reporting this problem and we are unable to duplicate in our test environment.

Can you please try creating a new clippings folder in your NewsGator Online account? Then move any clipped items you want to keep from the folder where you are seeing problems. Move these clippings into the newly created clippings folder.

Both NetNewswire and FeedDemon should see the newly created clippings folder and pick up the clipped items it contains.

i retry and check it today and it does not work

NNW3
create a "test" clipping, put a news in
FD2.6.0.21
folder is created, but nothing in it whatever status display is (unread or show all)

i check NGO and test clipping is there, but not the news.

bug confirmed, at least for me

after switching from NNW2 to 3, about a month ago.
it was synced before, i get clippings, i add something from NNW and i don't get it in FD.

i will test again.

I can't confirm this. It works fine for me.

When did you first notice the problem? Can you try creating a new clippings folder, and syncing this folder between your clients? Whatever problem exists, it sounds like it is specific to your user configuration.

NNW added news in clippings don't show in FD (seems ok in NGO)
FD -> NGO -> NNW: OK
NNW -> NGO -> FD: NOK

folder creation is ok
