I gotta wonder how long until I just say "screw it" and take my stuff directly over to Google Reader.

RE: Feature Request: able to link/sync Clippings to FriendFeed.com

I subscribed to my NewsGator clippings in Google Reader and made the feed public. For whatever reason, whenever you import a "Blog", instead of keeping the RSS URL (even though it has an RSS icon), FriendFeed is changing the source feed from whatever you entered to whatever the {link} element is. Sounds like a bug to me...

Edited to clarify: I'm referring to the {link} element of the Channel node, not the Item node

Feature Request: able to link/sync Clippings to FriendFeed.com

Hi folks, I just got onto FriendFeed.com, and I must say I am impressed by the aggregation, sharing & collaboration capabilities that this makes available.

I've sync'ed up all my favourite Web 2.0/Social Media services save *one*, and I was surprised at how many of the services I consider "notable players" are available here. The missing service was Newsgator, and I was surprised as well that you folks *weren't* already participating.

I don't know exactly what it would take for the shared/clippings feeds to become accessible to the FriendFeed "scraper", but there's certainly more than a little demand for this (and a few folks vocal about their struggles in working around the non-native implementation):
http://groups.google.com/group/friendfeed/search?group=friendfeed&q=newsgator&qt_g=Search+this+group

I'd certainly love to be able to show off my love of Newsgator, and make the Shared Clippings much more accessible to the world.

Thanks for any feedback, thoughts or questions you may have.

Cheers, Mike
