Glad to hear it'll be fixed in 1.0.3, but am sad to realize it'll apparently take weeks before it'll be available. The change turned NNW from my most-used and favorite app into something I would have deleted if the first version I used worked this way.

EDIT: I think I may have misunderstood the description of the problem. Apologies for the rant about the feature change.

RE: NNW for iPhone 1.0.7 issues

OK, I got it to work by doing the following:

1. Told iPod "Don't show in iPhone" for one of the feeds.

2. Went to web. Added that feed back.

3. All of the unwanted feeds, except the one I added back, disappeared from the iPod.

4. Went to web. Deselected that feed again.

5. Told iPod "Don't show in iPhone" again for that feed.

Given that with version 1.0 all of my deselected (via web) feeds disappeared from the iPod right away on their own, it still seems to be a possible bug that this workaround was required for version 1.07.

RE: NNW for iPhone 1.0.7 issues

Specifically, I am trying to deselect some feeds for my iPod Touch. When I did this with version 1.0 of NNW for iPhone, it worked great. With the latest version, all of the feeds are still there. The deselected ones do not disappear.

Just to be clear, the deselected feeds stay unchecked within the web interface. In other words, it appears to work. But deselecting feeds has no impact on the iPod itself, unlike version 1.0.

I realize that I can choose "Don't show in iPhone" with the latest software. There is no way, however, for me to add any of them back later with the iPhone software if I wanted to.

RE: NNW for iPhone 1.0.7 issues

Edit Locations on the browser-based reader works for me. How, exactly, is it not working for you?

RE: NNW for iPhone 1.0.7 issues

No, reinstalling didn't work either. Neither did completely rebooting the iPod. Still can't manage things via "edit locations."

Will be interested to find out if this is a widespread bug or is just affecting me for some reason.

RE: NNW for iPhone 1.0.7 issues

I'd noticed that the default location had changed and was updating the appropriate location. As I test, I renamed my iPod (now in the settings) to set up a fresh location then went back to change the feeds. Same problem.

Since you say it is working properly for you, I will try to reinstall the NNW software next. Not sure what else to try.

RE: NNW for iPhone 1.0.7 issues

Edit locations works fine, but the default location has changed. I've already queried it on the NNW/iPhone forum because those of us who had a customised location are back to the entire feed list :)

The default is now "NNW iPhone/iPod"

NNW for iPhone 1.0.7 issues

Nice update, but a couple of issues:

1. "Edit Locations" on the web-based settings page apparently no longer works for the iPhone/iPod. Feeds can only be eliminated or ignored by using the iPhone software.

2. Given that "Edit Locations" no longer works, it is not possible to re-add a feed to the iPhone/iPod once it has been unsubscribed from or told to "don't show."

Thanks.
