I keep gettig the message "Please ensure you have a network connection". I can sync with my laptop with no problems so I know this isn't the issue. I followed the advise given above but found that when trying to get the application to accept my log in details it was looking for the removed software and therfore I was back to square 1.

Hope you can find a fix.

Cheers

T

RE: Can't sync

Thank you for the detailed analysis of the problem. Definitely above and beyond.

I have created a bug report for Kevin to work from. (Case 120715) I will provide feedback as soon as I have some. We will need to do some testing on our end obviously.

RE: Can't sync

Yeap, after re-installing .Net CF 3, the problem persists.

A couple of things to note, this time i already had Newsgator Go! installed, i installed the .Net CF 3.5 Beta 1 from microsoft here and then i rebooted the device.

I loaded up Ng Go! and it worked fine, it updated feeds, etc. no problems. So, remembering that last time i was dealing with a fresh install, i uninstalled NG Go!, rebooted and tried to login, and the problem showed up again.

So in short, try uninstalling .net cf 3 and signing into Newsgator Go! and get it to remember your credentials, then install .Net CF 3 and you should be able to sync without a problem, as it's not going to ask you for your login details again. The problem seems to exist somewhere in the login screen section of the app.

*UPDATE: I found that after removing .Net CF 3, Ng Go! must be removed and re-installed while .Net CF 3 is uninstalled, then i added my credentials while it was uninstalled, signed in, synced up and everything was working sweet again. If i tried to use it after removing .Net CF 3 but not re-installing, the same error came up.

I found a possible reason for this, i could be way off but who knows.. It still doesn't log me in.

I have the .Net compact 3.0 installed as Ruxton had.

Unfortunately I can't afford an hard reset (I need the .Net 3.0 and it would be a pain to reinstall all the programs I have now).

RE: Can't sync

I recently had this exact problem on my Tytn using the beta Go! Windows mobile client, it wasn't working no matter what, everytime it'd stuff up with the error message the original poster had.

I did a hard reset the other day and low and behold it doesn't do it anymore, i think it may have been because i had .Net compact 3.0 installed. Anyway, long story short, every now and then my first initial daily sync in the morning still does this, then i sync again and it works fine!

RE: Can't sync

If you have a few minutesI'd like to get you to try the Go! beta... it is built against the latest framework which addresses some issues in the networking api's.

You can get that here: http://www.newsgator.com//ngs/subscriber/NGOLMobileDownloadBeta.aspx

Be sure to do a complete uninstall before installing the beta.

Thanks!

RE: Can't sync

It didn't work.

Go! opens the connection then it tries to login, at this point I receive the message "Please check your newsgator credentials".

I'm using exactly the same username and password that I use on the website.

RE: Can't sync

There are no problems with installing on a new device.. there must be something else going on.

Give this a try:

1. Uninstall the app

2. Soft Reset the device

3. Delete the go! application folder (if it has not been removed by the uninstall)

4. Does the system keep track of the different installations?
