Thanks for doing all that research for me! You got me really excited with Jalimo, I hadn't seen that before. (I'd looked into JamVM but got scared away)

Unfortunately, although it was easy to install Jalimo doesn't directly support .jad files. http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6279&page=2

Thanks a bunch for the help, I guess I'll go bug the web team about making the nav bar/pane collapsible.

I can't speak for the NG team re porting the .NET version but maemo is just linux; all you need is Java for linux that supports the n810 CPU architecture.

Looks like Jailmo is what you need, although I'm not sure how well the GUI stuff will work.

Haha, oops, I'd assumed you had Nokia's model numbers memorized. The N810 isn't a phone, it's a pocketable internet tablet with high-res screen and full qwerty keyboard. At least out of the box it doesn't have a java vm installed. (I think) So no luck with the java version. So if Go! isn't getting ported anytime soon are my only alternatives to get the nav bar of the online version made collapsible or get development resumed on the lightweight online version?

This is not something we will implement in the near term, but we will definitely look into.

In the meantime, you might try our JAVA reader. Your device is not on our list of supported devices, but the application should run on it.

A quick Google later, I found the page for Mono on Maemo, the platform of the Nokia internet tablets, including my N810.

If I recall, NewsGator Go! is a .NET app. Would it be possible to port it to Mono and run it on the N810? I've tried the online reader, but the width of the navigation bar on the left is fixed, and takes up WAY too much of my very limited screen real-estate. (This is a problem that should be addressed regardless, the N810 has an 800x480 screen resolution, the same resolution of the popular subnotebooks such as the Asus Eee, therefore the online reader really should accommodate such a common resolution. Making it collapsible would fix the problem.) I'm currently using the Mobile reader but development really seems to have stopped on this version, it doesn't even paginate unread items, instead it displays all of them (possibly hundreds) with a single "mark as read" link.

The BEST case scenario would be to take advantage of the richness and optimization for small screens of the Go! client. Any chance of this happening?
