It defaults to "none". As a result I can't view my feed items.

Edit: I've tried both: latest Safari and latest Firefox running on Leopard.

RE: Feature Request: Show My Clippings on Newsgator Mobile

My instructions were good until just recently. The new reader is just a bit different. It's easy though.

Just click on the Clippings folder you wish to subscribe to. The articles are displayed to the right. Scroll to the bottom and you will see the feed for that folder.

RE: Feature Request: Show My Clippings on Newsgator Mobile

Keith, it seems I can't subscribe to my clippings folder as there is not option to get the feed URL when right-clicking on the folder icon (in NewsGator online).

I'd prefer to see my clippings folder by default in my iPhone. I would welcome to have the clippings folder accessible on my iPhone as I clip a bunch of articles of the day to read them when I have the time to do so. Most often this time comes when only my iPhone is at hand. Using the rss feed for the clippings does not solve this realy ...

Nevertheless I like it :D

RE: Feature Request: Show My Clippings on Newsgator Mobile

You can actually do this now. You just have to subscribe to your own News Bin. Here's how:

1. Log in to NewsGator Online
2. Create a destination folder in the My Feeds folder (name it "iPhone Clippings" etc.)
3. Now publish one of your clippings folders as an RSS feed by right clicking on the folder name
4. Be sure to copy the RSS feed
5. Subscribe to that feed and place in your iPhone Clippings folder

I find it best to not allow new subscriptions to be automatically added to the iPhone. I like to hand pick the ones that are sent to control the amount of information that is sent. If you have your iPhone configured this way you will need to add your newly created clippings folder to the allowed list. Here's how to restrict feeds from being sent to your iPhone and how to allow them:

1. Log in to NewsGator Online
2. Click on Settings | Edit Locations
3. The second location down is your NewsGator Mobile Edition location
4. Click on Feeds (The configure link does nothing useful, we will be removing that soon)
5. Hit the Uncheck All link then check the feeds you would like to allow
6. Hit the update button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

Admittedly this is a work around, and we will be making the clippings functionality more user friendly. But I think you will find that after you have set it up this way it will work quite nicely.

RE: Feature Request: Show My Clippings on Newsgator Mobile

I second the motion put forth by the good gentleman from the state of Internet.

RE: Feature Request: Show My Clippings on Newsgator Mobile

No +1?
No one else wants this?

Feature Request: Show My Clippings on Newsgator Mobile

I love Newsgator Mobile!
It quickly replaced Google Reader as my RSS solution for iPhone.
All I need is the ability to read My Clippings!
That's all I ask... for now ;)

Thanks and keep up the good work!
