known issues;

1) the 4 digit time is useless when u look at posts from a week old

When doing the update for issue 4, i'll fix this by displaying "Yest" for yesterdays posts, or the date when they're even older)

~~2) when unfolding and article the content appears above the line!~~

3) this skins feels its heavy for the pc to display.

4) when resizing the screen it might give odd results, this is a compromise between even slower performance and better displaying on narrow screens.

5) I see theInquirer feed ~~sometimes~~ always gives some weird items that give problems with displaying the style (gives also problems with other styles)

Surfer with no MediaRSS extensions

Per a request in [url=http://forum.newsgator.com/Topic32638-14-1.aspx]this[/url] thread, here is a copy of Surfer with the MediaRSS thumbnails at the top removed.

I have only tested this on FD 2.6b1, but I don't think there were any changes to surfer.fdxsl2 between 2.5 and 2.6 (at least I haven't seen any), but [i]caveat emptor[/i] and all that.

[3.0] Question: sort by tag ?

is there some easy way (example code) to sort item per a defined list of tag ?

For example, in my tags, i defined some language EN, FR, DE tags, ...
and i want my newsletter style to group items per language.

is it possible ? what is the xsl keyword to call for tags list ?

Lucida Complete was my favorite style in NNW 2.x times. Now, I'm switching from NewsFire back to NNW. And ollieman.net, the site of the Lucida Complete creator is down. Can someone share Lucida Complete style?

Style: FeedDemon 3 Beta 1 - Twitter

Here's what it looks like:

That's on summary or full (both look the same) on headlines only it puts the titles back. I've removed most of the action icons other than mark as read, flag & delete (if you have them turned on) I really didn't use the other ones & you can't turn them off per feed in FD.

I've also added a Retweet button next to the reply one.

Please let me know what you think. Note, I have only tested this on FD 3 Beta 1, it may work on others & please let me know if it does.

Question: Open in New Window Button (FD)

I'm using the Surfer style in FD 2.8B1. I would like to modify it, so that the "Open in New Tab" button next to the post title opens the post in new window instead. I found the proper line in the Surfer.fdxsl2 file, but I don't know what the command is for "Open in New Window". I would really appreciate your help.

Documentation for creating styles?

I feel like I have searched high and low for any documentation on how to create Styles for NNW. Particularly I would like a list of the various "tags" that can be used. Like how can I display favicon, author name, post date and so forth in a Style. Anyone care to enlighten me? :) I have some themes I have already created for another reader that I would like to convert to NNW as a start. Thankful for any help!

Note: One bug: its does not display correctly folder. watches, clippings and unique feed are ok.

Request: Simplified FeedDemon Surfer

I know HTML, but no CSS or anything. I would love to see a simplified Surfer style for FeedDemon. I love the blue bar, but feel that the title in there could be the link that is below it in the main newspaper section, plus all the other stuff, like the icons, author, timestamp, could just be on one line at the top or after the linked title in the blue bar, basically out of the way of the text of the article.

If anyone here knows how to do that, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It aims to strip the style down to its bare minimum while keeping things legible and placing the metadata in a more visible spot. Basically, I wanted to see more in one screen and make it easy to read. I've also done my best to optimize this for the widescreen view.

I don't know how to make my own styles.
Is anyone out there willing to make a style that puts the thumbnail (if there is one) next to the title?
You can test this on any of the BBC News feeds. For example:

This small one-line change will honor the current group by setting, but then sort each group alphabetically.

you'd think that a styles forum would allow easily attaching styles, guess I was wrong :P

Fixed Expando for FD 2.5 Final

The Expando style in version 2.5 is missing the enclosure paperclip icon. As I never used this style prior to 2.5, I don't know the exact position of that icon, so I just stuck at the beginning of all the other icons.

To use this style, save *both* files (without the .txt extension - that is just to be able to upload the style) to the Data/Styles folder in your FeedDemon install folder, then fire up FeedDemon and apply as usual.
