Forum for enterprise RSS?

I am wondering why there is not a forum for enterprise RSS server, now known as Social Sites Professional. The existing forums seem to be mostly for your online service or readers. There is one for Enterprise Feature Request forum, but that doesn't cover all aspects of your enterprise products.

How can the refresh rate of Newsgator Enterprise Server be configured?

Hi,

It seems that Newsgator Enterprise Server looks (by default?) for updates to RSS subscriptions every hour. This is fine for frequently updated feeds, such as the BBC News site etc, but we have some internally generated feeds that update at most once a day - some much less so - maybe as little as once every 2-3 weeks. Whats more, these feeds are dynamically generated out of a database - there is no intermediate XML file - so each refresh that Newsgator does, results in a database query being run, only to return the same data, hour after hour after hour - for weeks on end! Furthermore, the URL for the feed provides a filtering mechanism, so each users set of filters is (as far as Newsgator is concerned) a different RSS subscription, which will result in thousands of database queries being run - needlessly - every hour. This is obviously a waste of database and network resources, and it would be very beneficial to be able to configure Newsgator such that it only attempted to refresh specific feeds at a more appropriate rate - once a day, or once a week, say. Is this possible? I have searched in vein for any details on this.

Instalation problem

We were trying to install Enterprise server on Win 2003 R2 standard edition. We followed setup instructions but had no luck to get it working.

Is there any checklist what to do to follow up from an clean install, from scratch? Which combination of server, SQL server, Active directory, Share point services ... works 100%? We are very bad in known windows based systems so it is possible that we made simple stupid mistakes.

Unread Tag Cloud

When I enter the system each day I'd like to have a different view then the "Top Stories from All Feeds". I'd like to see a Tag cloud of system tags for my unread articles. Basically the same as the "Top Selection Tags" if you hit "My Folders" but bigger, in the content column and my defualt page in newsgator. Possibly showing the tag cloud above a list of posts that match when you click on the tag.

Problem not finding LDAP Profile for Active Directory

I've installed your enterprise server. Very easy install. But I cannot add users via LDAP. When I click LDAP Add, there is nothing in the LDAP Profile select list. A search of your knowledge base returns no results for either 'ldap' or 'ldap profile.' Please advise. I want to add users in an Active Directory group.
