Downloaded netnewswire onto my iphone. read and reviewed the default feeds that come with the install for about a week. No problems.

2. Rgistered on newsgator yesterday. Added new feeds, deleted default feeds. logged off.

3. opened nnw on the iphone. all my feeds disappeared.

4. deleted and reinstalled nnw last night feeds came back. I had several hundred unread messages to go through. I reviewed 1.

5. synced this morning. all my feeds are gone.

6. I haven't used the app since last Friday; so it may be related to this issue reported already. It's like the sync server the iPhone app uses is down. FeedDemon and NNW on my Mac are both working fine. This is on a freshly restored iPhone with NNW freshly downloaded.

RE: Feeds disappearing from the iPhone

How old are those unread items? I have been using NewsGator Go for years on WM, and now a few months on iPhone. This behavior only started occurring after the last update. It makes total sense that this is a bug since the previous update addressed the opposite problem, which was that read feed items would never disappear.
As previous posters have pointed out, the web interface reports (correctly) that there are unread items in the feeds, but the iPhone client is not displaying them.

Example scenario:

The icon in the home screen reports 20 unread. I open NetNewsWire and look at the feed list, which correctly shows 20 unread items, then go back to the home screen. Then I open NetNewsWire again and half of my feeds are gone, as if they were all read. The website remains correct though.

Even if I had read the items that disappeared, they should remain for the 2 hours I have configured.

Please fix this bug, which makes the client unusable.

RE: Feeds disappearing from the iPhone

Those feeds will appear on the iPhone once they have some unread items.

RE: Feeds disappearing from the iPhone

I have a similar problem.
I installed the application and at first I could see all my 17 feeds. But after a refresh I only see 5 of them anymore on my iphone. However when I look at them online I can still see all 17.

I checked in "edit locations" here online for iphone but everything there is checked (all 17 feeds)

Something that I noticed though: When I click refresh and it says "downloading [feedname]" it does mention the feeds that aren't being displayed, so he downloads them but I just can't see them ...

Any idea how to fix this ?

Thanks ! :)

RE: Feeds disappearing from the iPhone

Check your NNW settings in the settings app - It sounds like you have "keep unread items" set low (although the lowest option is 4 days...)

Feeds disappearing from the iPhone

I've been using NetNewsWire on the iPhone for about 10 days. Until yesterday everything seemed fine -- excellent, really! A fabulous, truly useful product. But yesterday, about half my feeds disappeared from the iPhone, even though they are still visible and working when viewed through FeedDemon on my WinXP desktop. I deleted NetNewsWire from the iPhone and re-installed it this morning, which fixed the problem for about 10 minutes. For a short time, all feeds returned to the iPhone. Now half the feeds have disappeared again. For example, I have four RSS feeds from New Scientist magazine. Only one of them shows up on the iPhone now -- but a few days ago, all four were visible (and working) on the iPhone. All four are still visible (and working) when viewed through FeedDemon. Ideas, anyone?
