Not sure where to deposit bugs in 3.12 so I'll put it here...

With in the "Find" dialog box we have (or at least I have) ...

Origin
Start from curso
Start from top

The "r" is missing from cursor.

Thanks
Daf

This is the right place now that TS is released.

Looking at my install, I see the missing "r". Are you still running the beta, or release? If not the release, grab it here, otherwise, are you using non-default font sizes in the OS?

This is the final release.

I'm using, for the message text, Verdana size "8".

I see that if I set this to size "7" I, too, see the "r" - but barely as the ole eyesight is not what it used to be...

This is Windows 2000 SP4 btw.

I'm noticing that other apps' dialog boxes appear to expand to accomodate the larger text... for instance Photoshop and UltraEdit.

Thanks
Daf

I'm curious, is your dpi by any chance set to something other than the normal 96?

How to find out (if you don't know):

Go to the Display applet in the Control Panel (or right click the desktop and select properties.)

Go to the Settings Tab.

Click the Advanced button.

On the General tab there should be a drop down with either normal, large, or custom options.

I'm just curious because we had a number of issues at my work with labels and such being cut off and we eventually discovered that there are A LOT of programs out there that don't like being set to large or custom. Unknown to us however the Dell laptops that are fairly common at my work all shipped with the dpi set to large instead of normal. I believe MS requires support for the large dpi setting for logo compliance and such but it appears a large amount of developers never really test this (I don't think most developers bother with the whole logo compliance process.) Anyway as I said I'm just curious if this is what you are running into also.

I chatted with Nick about this before submitting the bug report. At least with FeedDemon, it's designed to accomodate custom system font sizes. This particular dialog just snuck through.
