The GetPostID function refuses to work for me, the form you provide http://services.newsgator.com/ngws/svc/PostItem.asmx?op=GetPostId gives me an error and I experience the same error using my own form with the dev token and url fields in place...

Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: Developer Token Not Specified

which is something every API function is returning hence the massive problems people are experiencing.

Sorry let me clarify, none of the forms at the SOAP endpoints work because they're missing the developer tokens, as a result, every form returns the above error message. The actual API seems to be working.

Ah, yeah, I see what you mean. I'll have to see if I can hack up the doc page to include a dev token.

Technically, it's called an "API Product Key", there's a link on the main documentation page, but here it is again:

http://www.newsgator.com/ngs/subscriber/APISignup.aspx

You have to log into NewsGator to get to this page, this is because you need a NewsGator account in order to get an API key.  You'll need one anyway to make any requests through the API.

If you're using NuSoap, you may want to look at Shelley Powers' description of how to connect to NewsGator using NuSoap:
