Hey all,

I was wondering whether the proxy settings are updated automatically or they are checked only at start up.

I set up newsgator to use IE's settings. Everything works fine. However, I use IBM's "Access Connections" so when I move from my office to my home network, the IE settings get changed automatically. Since I rarelly restart my laptop (I use suspend), Outlook runs all the time.

Usually I connect to my office network via VPN so it's not a problem if the old settings are kept but I was wondering which is the case (do the settings get updated automatically or only at Outlook startup?).

Thanks,
.savas.

After checking on this one, it appears the proxy settings are loaded once at startup; if the IE settings are changed after that, they won't be picked up by default.

To force a re-load of the IE settings, you can go to NewsGator/Options, then just click OK.  You don't have to change anything - just bringing up the dialog, and closing it with OK will refresh from IE.

Thanks for looking into this Greg. Could you, please, add the check for IE proxy changes every time the feeds are updated into the wish list for next version?

Thanks,
.savas.

Yep, I put it on the list.  Not sure if we can squeeze it into the next release, but it's a pretty minor change...I'll see what we can do.

Thanks for pointing this problem out!
