With 2.0 in the pipeline, I don't know if this is worth pursuing but FeedDemon 1.5 has recently started *really* taking over my CPU, even when "idle". If this has happened before the last week or two, I didn't notice it. Here's typically what I've got going on: FD is open, a channel group containing about 12 channels is open, set to refresh about every 3 hours. Currently, nothing is downloading to FD. Yet my Task Manager shows that FD is using between 90 and 99 percent of the CPU cycles. Actually it usually hangs out at 98 or 99%. Essentially, it's using every available CPU resource. It is degrading my OS performance noticeably.

Some system details: WinXP, some Pentium 4 at 2.4G, plenty of hard disk space.

Any ideas?

I can't recall anything like this in 1.5, but that was so long ago and my memory isn't quite it used to be (which was never good in the first place).

You may want to give the beta a try. It's pretty darn stable. You can always uninstall it and reinstall 1.5 (your 1.5 cache is preserved) if you run into problems.

Wasn't there an issue with how tables were being handled that was causing a lot of the CPU pegging?

Do you mean HTML tables? It's still not ringing a bell.
