I'm using both Topstyle Lite and AceHTML Pro 6. As I understand from www.bradsoft.com/topstyle/thirdparty/index.asp there must be an integration between Topstyle and AceHTML.
I expect this integration works in the way that when I select a css-file in AceHTML, Topstyle will be opened to edit the file? I cannot get this integration working, what do I have to do?
Thanks, regards, Purk

AceHTML should find TopStyle Lite and make it available as the CSS editor. If that's not working, you'll need to contact the developers of AceHTML to find out how to configure the program to use TopStyle Lite.

Maybe I do not understand what BradSoft means by stating 'it also offers first-class CSS editing from within a number of popular Web authoring tools'.
My expectation is that TopStyle is executed on double-clicking on a css-file in the AceHTML explorer.
My situation: css-files did get an icon which suggests that TopStyle is the standard program to edit the files. This icon is shown in the AceHTML explorer window. Outside AceHTML, in the windows explorer, TopStyle executes when doubleclicking on a css-file. Inside AceHTML, when doubleclicking a css-file, the internal AceHTML css-editor starts. So, if I want to use TopStyle for my css-files (and I want to!), I have to execute it separately from AceHTML and switch between programs. My expectation was that TopStyle would be integrated seamlessly in AceHTML in a way that I even don't notice an 'external' program is used.
Again, maybe my expectation is wrong, but then please explain what I may expect from 'it also offers first-class CSS editing from *within* a number of popular Web authoring tools' (mind the *'s!).
When a company states that it offers css-editing *within* web-editors, I expect that they can at least give me a clue what I have to do to integrate their tool in my webdevelopment tool. Do I have to change a ini-file or 'hack' the registry, or...? I expect that BradSoft knows what to do for integration, it is in their interest to do so (not in the interest of the webdevelopment tools).
I've asked this question also at Visicom Media, but I don't expect to much from this. So far, the Visicom Media guys 'choose' to be silent. I've tried to re-install AceHTML with TopStyle already installed, but this was of no use. Also, I cannot find any option in AceHTML which suggests that I can configure this, help-files don't give any clue either.

It is up to the "parent" program to allow external programs to be used as editors. For example, FrontPage has built-in support for configuring an external editor based on file type.
I installed AceHTML and I don't see any way to set TopStyle as the editor for CSS. It looks like AceHTML doesn't offer a way to configure any external editors.
The only suggestion I can offer is instead of double-clicking within the File Explorer, right-click, select "Explorer Menu" and choose Edit with TopStyle (or Open With | TopStyle).

Ok, thanks for your quick respons!
I do now understand that the statement BradSoft makes ('it also offers first-class CSS editing from within a number of popular Web authoring tools') is a litle bit ambitious.
Nevertheless, TopStyle is a fine product, and I will continue using it. To bad I cannot realy integrate it with my html-editor.
Anyway, thanks for your respons!

| Looking at the AceHTML Web site I see that they have added support for CSS editing to recent versions. It seems likely that the author has decided he no longer requires integration with TopStyle and has removed it without telling Nick.
