As many of you have noticed, we have replaced our rather confusing subscription model with a new 2 Level way of operating. Anyone with a paid NewsGator account is going to get a message asking them to convert to one of the new plans when they log on for the first time.

How does this effect me? 
Since all plans are going to be converted to the $19.95/year NewsGator Premium, there are three ways it may be different from your current options, but all of them are good:

1. More options for the same price: Users who were previously on our Business Standard subscription will now get 20 smartfeeds instead of 3, the NewsGator Mobile HTML reader is now included, as well as our POP3 reader - ALL FOR THE SAME PRICE.
   
2. More options for a LOWER price: Users who were on Consumer Gold or Business Gold get extra smart feeds for a lower price. In practical terms, when you hit the [Convert] button we will change your account and extend the time of you plan to compensate for the extra money already paid (this will be pro-rated).  For example if you have 6 months left on your current Business Platinum supscription, when you convert to NewsGator Premium, you plan will be extended to 18 Months!
   
3. Same options for less: Users on Consumer Platinum, Business Platinum or Business Ultimate will have virtually the same options as they did previously, but for a cheaper price. (Business ultimate users will now only have 20 smartfeeds instead of 40 - a search of our database has shown this will effect only a VERY small number of users.)

So all-in-all this is a good move for everyone. Any questions can be posted to the NewsGator Online forums.

One thing to note when you see the conversion page is that the most important information is at the end of the message - this is unique to your account.
