Hello,

I upgraded yesterday the version 1.5 to 2.0 and now I get this message:

We're sorry, but FeedDemon could not be activated.

Reason: This license key is not valid for this version of FeedDemon.

Do I have to buy a new version ???

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards, Jean-Claude.

You definitely don't need to buy another copy of FeedDemon.

Please send an email to support@newsgator.com and include your original FD order number (from the confirmation email) and your NewsGator account username.

I did it and... I got the serial number I already had !! BUT I still get the same message:

"We're sorry, but FeedDemon could not be activated.

Reason: This license key is not valid for this version of FeedDemon."

I dont know what to do with the serial number ???

Best regards, Jean-Claude.

Same here (I think)..

I just upgraded from 1.5. I launch FD, and am presented with the "Welcome to FeedDemon" Screen.

I click 'next', but what do I do now? You see: I don't have a NewsGator Online account, but I DO have a FeedDemon user name and password.

These are however not accepted when I fill out the Existing User data... Instead I get: "The user name and/or password is not valid. Please try again or create a new FREE! account."

I sent off an email; however I forgot to mention there I don't have a NewsGator Online account.

In such a case where DOES one fill out the FD user name and Password?

Thanks!

OK, I registered with NewsGator Online (if that's what I was supposed to do) but afterwards I'm unable to log in there with those data (invalid user name or password...)

I have the correct data resent to me (having pressed "Forget password?", but they're identical to what I filled out...
Now in the FD screen I fill out my data, then (hey presto) NOW I'm finally presented with an opportunity to fill out my Serial number.

However now it (not unexpectedly) says: We're sorry but we cannot locate this user account information. Please check the information you entered and try again. If you continue to have difficulties please contact technical support at support@newsgator.com.

I must be overlooking something blatantly obvious, so let me apologize in advance for being dense...

I'd reaaaally welcome a solution...

OK, rather than continuing the discussion here I sent off another email, as that's probably the more appropriate way of going about it...

Thanks!
