I've downloaded and installed the trial version of FeedDemon.
I'm using it, but I found this strange:
when I read an entry it disappears from the folder.
Is the entries deleted?
Is this the only behaviour?
I've used Feedreader and Thunderbird before, and none have this behaviour.
Read messages are kept.

Nope - they're not deleted. The default view is to show unread only - if you check the filter, you should have other options like All, Yesterday, This Week, etc.
