I have been getting a LOT of duplicate posts over the past few days. Many of them originate from Engadget and Tim Bray's ongoing (Atom) feed. Is anyone else seeing this problem? I didn't have any problems before, this is just somethings that's started over the weekend and is still going on.

I'm subscribed to the Engadget feed in a sync folder and I don't see any duplicates. What's the feed ID for your subscription under the feed properties? Mine is (NG 12926).

Oh, something else with this. As I just browse the folders and feeds, Engadget said in the list it had 2 new posts. When I clicked it however, it turned up 40 more! So now I have 42 unread posts in the Engadget feed (while FeedDemon supposedly knew only 2 of those are really new to me).

Other feeds that seem to be having the problem:

- Planet Python (NG 210678)
- ongoing (NG 219375)
- Daring Fireball Linked List (NG 621656)

There's a slow-down on the content service that may explain the delays in updating. We're looking into it right now.

Hmm, but I'm not seeing any slowdown of updates? Just many duplicate posts. Why are they related?

Engadget always bounces back to having 40 unread posts. tech.memeorandum (NG 283930) always has 9.

"bounces back"?

What are your auto-purge settings on those feeds?
