I've received an email reply to my request on how to take my purchased and downloaded Top Style Pro from my old computer to my new one, that said to go to this URL to make my request: You should be able to request a new download from here: http://www.bradsoft.com/topstyle/replacement/index.asp That URL is to a page to input ONLY my email address for a free upgraded version, and in the reply email to it reads: In order to retain your existing settings, simply install this version on top of your current version. I don't have my current version on this new computer in order to download an upgraded on top of it! Plus, it doesn't resolved the 30 CSS style sheets I have stored in my current Top Style on my old computer issue - how to get them over to the new computer also. In my 1st request I said I downloaded Top Style Pro after paying for it, and I also do not have my original registration code, but I supplied enough information that it should be easy to find because I purchased it roughly 6-9 months ago. At a minimum I need my original Top Style Pro and registration code to re-download it again before I can upgrade free or otherwise. The files I can see if I can burn to a disc to install on the new PC once I have TSP on it. Thank you for assisting on this. Amber

Rather than use serial numbers, we use separate EXEs for the trial and registered versions of TopStyle. Using that form you will provide you a download link to the full installer. It doesn't have to be installed on top of an existing installation.
The message about preserving settings only applies if you are installing over an existing installation. Basically it means that your settings will be preserved.
To copy your settings onto the new computer, there are two things you can do if you can still run the program on the first computer: - Click "Options | Export Settings" to export the settings that are stored in Windows' registry to a .reg file. - Copy the .reg file to the new computer then double-click on it to merge it into the registry.
In addition to copying your registry, you will also want to copy your \USER folder to the new computer. This directory will contain any custom templates, clip library items, palette settings, etc.
Depending on your installation preferences it will be in one of two places: - C:\Documents and Settings\{Windows user name}\Application Data\Bradsoft.com\TopStyle\3.0 - C:\Program Files\Bradbury\TopStyle3\user
The second directory will always be present as it contains default files used by TopStyle, so check for the "Documents and Settings" directory first.
Any files that you created using TopStyle will need to backed up manually as TopStyle doesn't have any control over where you store the files.
Guaranteed response to your question in 30 minutes or less, or the answer is free!

That helps tremendously, thank you. Your instructions on how to move an exe file are much clearer than the others I've received in the last week. Yes, my old computer is still running, toggled to the new one as a back up, but that's not the same as "networked" for file sharing and I don't want to open that option. I think I purchased the Pro version last July or Aug. Is the update newer than a purchase of that date?
