I was going through my feeds and cleaning up some of the dinosaurs. I knew that some of these feeds actually had new URLs and I didn't want to lose my previously downloaded posts, so I thought I'd just change the URL. One such feed was the Hicksdesign del.icio.us page.

Previously, I'd been subscribed to . I instead wanted to subscribe to the main feed at . I opened the NNW Info panel for the feed, changed the feed URL, and synced. Nothing happened - the feed still showed up as a dinosaur. I then did a Refresh All just to make sure - same result.

I logged into the NewGator web interface and looked at the feed through My Settings - it was still pointing at the old feed URL. I'm guessing that since NewsGator didn't/hasn't picked up on the feed change, it's still passing the old feed data to NNW during a refresh (I have NewsGator syncing active).

Does NewsGator syncing support changing the URL of a feed though NNW? Do I need to wait for this to propagate or should I change the feed URL though the web interface? I'd rather not have two copies of the feed lying around and I'd like to keep the old articles.

I've informed Brent of the problem and he is looking into it. This should be fixed for 2.1.1 final release.
