Hi all. I would like to begin using My Clippings to post my own stuff. I haven't cracked the basics of adding files to the My Clippings store. Do I need something beyond NewsGator Online? Thanks for answering a newbie.

Mike, You can't really use Clippings to add items that aren't already in an RSS feed. The only way to add something to Clippings is to be subscribed to a feed and click the Add to Clippings icon. (Or you can do the same thing with search results) If you want to post your own stuff, you might want to check out Email Feeds: - Go to www.newsgator.com and sign in
- Got to Add Feeds |Smart Feeds
- Click the Email Feeds link that is below the tab
- Enter an address for the new feed then [Add]
- The Email address will be moved to the bottom section “Your Current Email Feeds”, click the Public checkbox
- Send an Email to your new NewsGator Email address, and since you have made this Email address feed public, others may subscribe to it. NOTE: the contents must be in the body of the Email. Attachments are not recognized.
- since NewsGator converts NewsGator Email addresses into RSS feeds, you may allow others to subscribe to your RSS feed to receive your content. To get the RSS feed URL for your NewsGator Email address, in the “Your Current Email Feeds” section, click the [XML] button under the Feed Link column and this will display the URL and details
- To subscribe to your own content, add a feed by pasting the above feed URL. In NewsGator, you will see your feed as “NewsGator: EMail feed username_variable”
